Kasper & Associates Market Update: Hammerin’ Hank

Comments   |   General

Many folks in North Texas are overwhelmed by the success of the Texas Rangers baseball team.  To date they are in first place in their division and recently had six players chosen for the All-Star game.  With that in mind I decided to relay a story about two of the greatest baseball players who are now legends of the sport: Yogi Berra, catcher for the New York Yankees and Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves.  One game when “Hammerin’ Hank” came to bat, Yogi told him that his bat was turned the wrong way so that he couldn’t read the printed label on his Louisville Slugger bat.  Hank responded by hitting the first pitch out of the ballpark.  After rounding the bases, Aaron touched home plate and said to Berra, “I came up here to hit baseballs, not to read.”

As merger and acquisition advisors since 1984, Kasper & Associates has advised clients in North and Central Texas who prefer working with a team they can trust when they have made a decision to sell their business and “knock one out of the ballpark”.  We always look forward to getting acquainted when it’s your time to retire, or you have health or marriage and family issues, among other reasons.
