Richards Supply Company Acquires Manske Material Handling

Richards Supply Company, headquartered in Waco, Texas, has acquired Manske Material Handling located on South Main Street in Fort Worth, Texas.  Richards now has four distribution centers in Texas with two locations serving the Dallas/Fort Worth market.

Founded by David Manske in 1993, Manske Material Handling is a wholesale distributor of wheels, casters, hand trucks, pallet jacks and carts.  It has in-house fabrication capabilities for repairs and custom orders.  Richards Supply Company, established in 1937, is one of Texas’ leading general line industrial and contractor supply houses.  Richards serves customers in a variety of industries including manufacturing, municipalities, infrastructure, government, healthcare, pharmaceutical, food & beverage and construction.

Richards was represented in the sale by Kasper & Associates, Fort Worth’s leading merger and acquisition firm since 1984.  Managing Partner Layne Kasper initiated and facilitated negotiations for the transaction.  Kasper stated, “Buyer-side transactions like this are particularly rewarding knowing we are helping a superb company like Richards Supply to expand its presence in Fort Worth and the rapidly growing North Texas market.”
